This South African cycad species is a highly ornamental dwarf cycad. It is a vigorous grower with green leaves and a waxy blue bloom. The cones emerge green and turn yellow on maturity. The Encephalartos Cerinus is a hardy, easy-to-grow compact species in the sun or shade with some frost tolerance, making it ideal for pots or small spaces. It is almost extinct in nature.
