Description
A spectacular specimen cycad from the Congo, the Encephalartos Laurentianus has long arching glossy green leaves that can grow up to 7m long and impressive brown cones. It is very fast-growing and the largest grower in the genus. This cycad matures in 7.5 years in S.E. Queensland. It is good in a pot as it can be reasonably compact if the lower limbs get trimmed, and produces new leaves 3 times each year. It is very rare in cultivation – recommended.
